Skirts – the 70’s Are Back!
Friday, April 29th, 2011Now’s the time to go shopping for one of those gorgeous new skirts that are now becoming available in this year’s spring collection.
Lace skirts are ideal if you are looking at attracting some attention, especially on that special night or evening. Structured layered skirts really suit boyish figures as they add curves and volume. If your skirt has a black elasticated waistband, you may want to try hiding it. One way is to cover it up with a fashion statement belt.
Your mother may still think that the 70’s were an era that fashion forgot, but designers think differently. So go for a little nostalgia and embrace the 1970’s trend with an A-line denim skirt. I would recommend opting for the button-through, skater style. As an alternative, you could perhaps try a patchwork to keep the whole 1970’s retro vibe going.
If you’re pear-shaped, a slinky pencil skirt will flatter your curves and slim down your hips. Add a v-neck satin blouse to boost your bust and add more curves.
A maxi skirt will certainly be a wardrobe staple for the summer. You cannot be without at least one in your wardrobe, so it’s best to grab yourself one or two of these skirts right now.
